Doc welcomes lead guitarist, Ernie C, from the band Body Count to the show and they talk about Ernie growing up in South Central Los Angeles, being inspired by R&B, funk, and Peter Frampton to start playing guitar, being turned off by the 80s glam scene, how Body Count came together, being friends with Perry Farrell and landing a spot on Lollapalooza, the backlash from “Cop Killer”, dealing with the deaths of multiple band members, the rough years of inactivity and struggling with alcoholism, the resurrection of the band in recent years with the current line-up, and introducing Body Count to a new generation.

I have to admit that podcast listening has sincerely cut into my music time. A lot of stuff didn’t make my list, because I just haven’t gotten around to checking it out.

Fun fact: It was directed by Treach of esteemed hip hop group, Naughty By Nature. “This Is Why We Ride” is from the latest Body Count album Bloodlust. Check it!
